Interactive Art

Rosa Tuffney was our resident artist during an exhibition of paintings and drawings loaned or created by the local community and herself. Rosa has been busy finalising the design for the big interactive art wall in the children's corner, painted onto a magnetic surface. The picture to the left is the design as it was in early January, and a few more developments have taken place since then. We invite local artists and children to contribute to packs of Bible story illustrations which can be placed onto the backdrop with magnetic tape. If you are interested in taking part - please get in touch.

Some of the paintings and drawings from the exhibition and children's competion are being made into a video gallery, which will be accessible soon by clicking The Creative Word.

Ben's baptism 4-12-11

...

Big splash Ben

A picture just after the first pool baptism ever to take place in St.Paul's. Previously when we have been asked for a baptism by immersion we have all gone to a church with a baptistry. On December 4th, Ben was baptised in a pool hired for the occasion - we even heated it for him. After saying the prayer following baptism, members of Ben's family and those who had helped him in his journey to faith came and poured some of the baptism water on his head as a reminder of the part they had played and continue to offer in his Christian journey.
