We believe that worship is about more than what goes on inside a church building.

Our whole lives can express worship to God.

At St.Paul's we encourage people to live their faith, and worship God in more than just words, though we do have quite a variety of worship styles to help people both sense God's presence and learn from him. We seek to be accessible to the widest range of people whilst staying true to our Church of England heritage.

Children are very welcome at all our main 10am services.
Except on the third or a fifth Sunday in the month (or during school holidays), our Seekers groups for 3-11yrs have separate activities and rejoin everyone else at the end of the service. There is a specially furnished and resourced place at the back of the church for any small children who are too young for Seekers, or who prefer staying in the main service with a parent/carer.

The heart of worship is not ourselves, nor our preferences, but coming closer to God. There are weekday opportunities through services, groups or sharing in prayer or acts of ministry and help to others.

Together, changing lives for good!

Although St.Paul's Church building is relatively new, and of no particular artistic merit, there are a few interesting and even unique features in it: There is an illuminated cross in place of the normal East window, and a fine example of a Paterson stained glass window.

The church hall is also the home for two of the area's art organisations. The Barnstaple Floral Art Club, which has been based here for very many years, and The Rosa Tuffney Art Academy, which grew out of an exhibition, gallery and children's competition in the summer of 2011.

Sundays give us the chance to come together not just for worship, but also for fellowship. At the back of the church is an area for this purpose, with a plentiful supply of coffee, tea, or squash and biscuits after the main morning service.
